オープン教材をつくろう！：学生による教材の公開(1)（2024年度 Sセメスター）

はじめに

2024年度Sセメスターも全学自由研究ゼミナール/高度教養特殊演習「オープン教材をつくろう！」を開講しました。

授業では、全部で3グループがオープンエデュケーションに関する教材を作成しました。そのうち、公開を希望するグループの教材を公開することになりました。

7月中旬に授業が終了した後、教材の著作権や内容について授業担当教員等で確認し、必要な場合は学生たちが修正しました。これらを経て、最終版の教材を公開します。 授業での講義や議論、調べた内容に基づいて、学生なりにオープンエデュケーションについてまとめた教材です。至らぬ点もあるかと思いますが、ぜひご覧いただき、またご自身のオープンエデュケーションに関する学習に役立てていただけますと幸いです。

A Crash Guide to Moocs: Unlocking the World of Open Education

Louis HORIGOMEさん、Kaho SHIMIZUさんが作成した教材”A Crash Guide to Moocs: Unlocking the World of Open Education”です。

これまで公開してきた教材は、すべて日本語で作成されたものでしたが、この教材はなんと全編英語です！！作成したお二人の強みを活かした仕上がりになっています。テキスト教材でデザインにも注意を払っていますし、さまざまな情報をコンパクトにまとめてわかりやすいものになっています。なお、教材の表紙には、グループ名”H₂S”が記載されています。なぜこのグループ名にしたのかの理由も興味深いのですが、少し切ない話にもなるので割愛します。作成者である学生の感想を紹介します。

I’ve been using leaning materials without thinking too much about how they were made. Troughout this course though, by creating materials myself and learning the essentials such as the 9 steps of instruction, I realised that it completely changed how I see learning materials. I have a much better understanding of how I should be using them and what the different sections are intend for.

This was my first experience creating educational materials, and I aimed to make them enjoyable and easy to read, so that learning would be a pleasant experience. Although this material was originally created in Japan, I took on the challenge of translating it into English with the hope of reaching a wider audience. I sincerely hope that these materials contribute to a more fulfilling learning environment and happier study experiences for many people. (Kaho SHIMIZU)
